How to help the victims of the Marshall Fire

Marshall Fire victims are our neighbors and need our help. Here are some ways you can assist, from both near and far.

The first two weeks after the horrific Marshall Fire left more than 1,000 homes burned and tens of thousands of our community members displaced was filled with an outpouring of donations, free restaurant meals, and information on how to help. Now that two weeks have passed, many of those help-centers have closed, yet people still need a tremendous amount of help. Here are some ways you can continue to help our community now.

The Boulder Office of Emergency Management has information on items you can donate. People lost everything, so donations will be helpful for the foreseeable future.

Volunteer information can be found at Colorado Responds. Please consider donating your time if you are able to be a local volunteer.

If you are inclined to gift a meal at a restaurant, First Bite- Boulder County Restaurant Week, is raising $25,000 in restaurant gift cards to donate to families in need with their Food is Love donation drive. Treat someone to a nice dinner out at a locally owned restaurant with restaurant gift cards. It will certainly be appreciated!

Drink for a cause- Cart Driver in Denver dedicated their Cocktail for a Cause for the month of January to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. The more cocktails sold, the more money donated. It’s a win-win.

Bid on some art at The Firehouse Art Center in Longmont. Now through February 1 you. can bid on art from 50 different Front Range artists. All proceeds will go to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund.

We will continue to update this list as information becomes available. It is going to take years to rebuild from this devastating fire, so there will be many opportunities to help.
