Heath and Safety First- We are reopening for private food tours in July

In a blink of an eye, it’s July. After so many months at home, I am as eager as everyone else to get out and explore our local food scene. In order to do that safely, Local Table Tours is offering private tours only through (at least) the month of July. Our calendar, which usually shows all of our tours, is currently blank because we will set our schedule around our guests and their availability to join us on a private tour. One of the most fun things about being a food tour guide is checking out what our favorite places are up to. As everyone went through closing, reopening for takeout, limited menus, limited capacity, expanded outdoor patio seating, and now the re-closure of bars, our tours will be very different from what we have offered over the past ten years. We are going to adapt to whatever works best for our favorite eateries and continue supporting them.  There’s always something new and fun going on in the local food and beverage scene and it will be exciting to finally start exploring again, as safely as possible.

We need to follow the rules of Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins, so everyone will be required to wear a mask or face covering and we will remove them when we’re served food and drinks.  Our group size will be capped at 7 people (plus the guide makes 8) since there are reservation limits of eight guests max at restaurants in Colorado. Local Table Tours will be providing hand sanitizer as an extra precaution, but not offering handshakes or the somewhat standard end of tour hug so many of us exchange after becoming friends on tour.

The featured establishments we work with who have reopened are doing so safely with the health of their employees and guests in mind. I am very grateful for that, and knowing that they care means I can finally say we’re reopening our tours.
