Paradise Found: Summertime at Corrida

Corrida is a draw year round in Boulder with their jaw dropping rooftop views, gin and tonic cart, warm and informed service, excellent tapas, and their highly sought after steaks. These Wyoming ranch steaks were just featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Corrida Boulder Patio

This downtown Spanish restaurant is every good dream you have about summer. Whether you drop in for a cocktail after work, meet friends for brunch, or take your beloved there for a proper steak, everything about summertime at Corrida is majestic. The patio is sprawling, with a nice mix of sunshine and shade. If air conditioning is calling you, seats at the bar and inside the dining room all have mountain views.

Corrida Boulder Gin and Tonic Cart

The Taste of Downtown Boulder tours we bring to Corrida this summer get a table-side stirred gin and tonic featuring Leopold Brothers Summer Gin. We learn about their special ice cubes designed to melt slowly to prevent the cocktail from being watered down, and are often surprised by unique garnishes like ice plant from Esotera Culinary Garden.

Corrida’s wine list focuses on selections from Spain. Like Chablis? Try a bottle of Albariño, a mineral driven white with refreshing acidity. The staff knows how to help you find something that you’ll love, like the Bodegas Muga Rosado, a dry, pale pink rosé from Rioja, made from Garnacha grapes. The weekday lunch at Corrida is among the best deals in Boulder. Just $25 for three-courses. Chef Amos Watts, formerly of Acorn in Denver and Cyrus in Napa, is cooking so you’ll want to get in for this lunch menu while you still can.
