Our Favorite Patios in Boulder for Happy Hour

As the weather starts to warm up in Boulder, we can’t help but start getting excited about sitting on patios and sipping cocktails during happy hour.

We put together a list of our favorite patios for happy hour in Boulder, listed in no particular order.

Kitchen Next Door

While their patio space is limited, the Kitchen Next Door‘s on-street bar overlooking Pearl Street and the flatirons is one of our favorite places to enjoy a cold local brew (like a Dry Dock Apricot Blonde) and an afternoon snack (like the kale chips or garlic smashers).

If the outside seating is full, they also open up their garage door style windows, allowing you to soak in the feeling o sitting outside while sitting inside.

Insider tip: Sneak in before happy hour starts to grab your seat and enjoy the happy hour bites + drinks.

Pizzeria Locale

Pizzeria Locale is one of our favorite spots to enjoy a late afternoon happy hour, especially on their outside patio. Like Kitchen Next Door, their outside seating space is limited, but great if you can get a seat.

Their happy hour starts earlier than most, at 3:30 pm, allowing you to enjoy the afternoon sun before heading to your next stop.

The Rayback Collective

Off the beaten path a bit is the Rayback Collective, one of our favorite spots to hang out and enjoy a local beer (or wine) with some food truck fare.

Ride your bike here for the full “Boulder” experience.

The Corner Bar

Nestle up around the outside of the historic Hotel Boulderado at The Corner Bar.

If you’re looking to sit outside away from the hustle and bustle of Pearl Street, this is your place.

ARCANA

If you want to escape the sun, yet still enjoy the Colorado outdoors, ARCANA is a great place to go. Their outside patio is fully covered, yet breezy and relaxing.

BONUS: their cocktails are amazing, as are their happy hour bites.

The Bitter Bar

Enjoy a classic or not-so-classic cocktail on the patio of the Bitter Bar, another one of our favorite patio spots.

The outdoor, lounge-style seating makes for a great place to sip and talk.

Note: they don’t open until 5pm.

Sanitas Brewing Company

We love the large, outside space at Sanitas. Hidden in the back of an industrial park on East Pearl, this spot is the perfect place to escape Pearl Street, while still enjoying a drink not too far from downtown.

Expect to play lawn games, sit on picnic tables and inhale the smell of fresh tacos being served out of the McDevitt Taco Supply stand that permanently lives at the brewery.
